Instructions: 1. Exercise caution when opening the large, tall monarch butterfly tents. After removing the elastic strap from around the circle, the cube cage can pop open unexpectedly. Ensure ample space and keep fragile objects away.

1. Upon opening the net cage, the PVC sides may be creased from folding. Quickly remove creases by blow-drying the PVC with a hairdryer for approximately 5 minutes, or leave it in warm sunlight to relax wrinkles.

2. Always close the cage door so that the zippers meet at the top center. If a caterpillar is near the zipper, this allows you to unzip the opposite side safely.

3. Clean the mesh cage after disease outbreaks or at the end of the season by soaking it in a 5% bleach solution (19 parts water to 1 part bleach) for about 20 minutes. Submerge the cage in a tub or laundry basin.

4. Rinse the butterfly garden with water and let it air dry in sunlight—hang it on a clothesline or secure with a rock to prevent it from blowing away.

5. To fold the cage for storage, place your hands on opposite upper corners and press one corner to flatten it.

6. Store the cage flat in a closet, under a bed, or behind a couch. Unzipping the bottom makes it easy to clean out caterpillar waste.

The heavy-duty outdoor monarch butterfly cage is resistant to weather, predators, tears, and parasitoids. Its nylon fabric is significantly stronger than conventional popup cage netting. The bottom can be secured to the ground around plants without the need for pots.

The butterfly cage includes an additional zipper protection seam to prevent monarch caterpillars from pupating on the zipper, reducing the risk of damage during unzipping.
