The instructions for assembling the outdoor version butterfly habitat are as follows:

1. Follow the instructions or the assembly guide in the Gallery to install the outdoor version butterfly habitat.
2. After opening the net cage, the PVC side may be creased from folding. To remove the creases, use a hair dryer to blow dry the PVC for about 5 minutes, or place the PVC towards the warm sun to relax the wrinkles.
3. Always close the cage door so the zippers meet at the TOP CENTER. If a caterpillar is somewhere on the zipper, this will allow you to zip down the other side to open.
4. Clean the mesh cage after a disease outbreak or at the end of the season by soaking it in a 5% bleach solution (19 parts water to 1 part bleach) for about 20 minutes. The cage can be soaked in a tub or laundry tub.
5. Rinse the butterfly garden with water and then let it sun dry - hang it on a clothesline or put a rock on the floor so it won't blow away.
6. Store the outdoor version butterfly habitat in a dry and clean place, such as in a closet, behind a couch, etc.

The PVC outdoor monarch butterfly cage is weather, predation, tear, and parasitoid resistant. The nylon fabric is much stronger than conventional popup cage netting. Assemble the PVC pole by hammering the connectors tightly together to ensure a secure connection.

The caterpillar habitat consists of a durable PVC frame that is quickly assembled using the included pole connectors. A mesh tent fits onto this frame to create an enclosed cage, suitable for the rearing and maintenance of caterpillars.
